Schedule for Band Camp

Week 1:
Thursday July 23

9:00 a.m.-12:00
Student Leadership Only

1:00 p.m.- 3:o0
All Seniors

Friday July 24
9:00 a.m.- 12
Incoming Freshman

For these two days, all students need to enter through the Choir room entrance. Everyone must maintain social distancing at all times, including the line to enter the building. You will be required to wear a mask, have your temperature taken, and be asked wellness questions before being allowed to enter the building. 

Monday July 27
 9:00 a.m.-12
Full Band Meeting in auditorium
For this meeting, we will use 3 entrances: Woodwinds will enter through the auditorium entrance. Brass will enter through the band hall. Percussion and Auxiliary will enter through choir room entrance.

Tuesday July 28 & Wednesday July 29
9:00 a.m.- 12
Brass and Auxiliary (enter by choir room)

1:00 p.m-4
Woodwinds and percussion (enter by choir room)

Thursday July 30 and Friday July 31
8:00-12
Full band outside to learn drill

Everyone must maintain social distancing at all times, including the line to enter the building. You will be required to wear a mask, have your temperature taken, and be asked wellness questions before being allowed to enter the building. 

Things to consider:

  • Make sure you are spending time out doors everyday to get used to the heat.
  • Hydrate yourselves now, so we have no heat injuries.
  • Play you instrument before we arrive on 7/27.
  • Clean your instrument. (don’t submerge woodwinds in water!!!)
  • Bathrooms will be used on an emergency basis. Try to plan accordingly.
  • If you know you will be missing a day of camp b/c of illness, COMMUNICATE with us!

Things to bring to camp.

  • iPad
  • Water bottle with your name on it. You will have to fill and bring your own bottle to camp each day!
  • Positive attitude. There have been many changes to this year already, and many more to come. Be flexible, and stay upbeat.

Marching Band Survey

The NAHS band program exposes the students to a wide variety of musical experiences including marching band,  symphonic band, jazz band, and theatre orchestra. Students perform in local concerts, musicals, and half-time shows.  Students participate in both regional and state festivals, honor bands and clinics.
